Teen Connections™ for Autistic Teens
Weekly therapy groups for high school ages
Teen Connections is a supportive, skills-based therapy group for autistic teenagers. The group provides a warm, unmasked environment where teens can explore the mental health effects of being neurodivergent while navigating the unique challenges of adolescence. Research indicates that autistic teens are at a higher risk of developing mental health disorders compared to their neurotypical peers. These can include anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders, which can significantly impact their quality of life.
By offering a space to connect with peers, build confidence, and practice self-advocacy, this group helps autistic teens feel less isolated and more empowered in their daily lives. Through shared experiences and guided support, participants gain tools for managing emotions, developing meaningful relationships, and navigating social and academic challenges. This group focuses on developing new strategies and systems for navigating life, celebrating each teen’s identity, interests, and lived experiences.
