Hi, welcome! I am a pre-licensed therapist working at the Institute as part of my doctoral training. My doctoral program has equipped me to work with a variety of clients taking a person-centered and relational psychodynamic approach. As a child I often felt on the outside – like I was different – and so my aim is to make my clients feel like they are not on their own figuring themselves out, but that we are a team, working together.

Sometimes there are parts of ourselves we struggle to accept. Parts that feel too shameful to bring to light, but that might still play a part in how we relate to the people around us. I know the power of feeling seen and understood, and my goal for my work with my clients is to do just that – to provide understanding and empathy as we enter into the work of self-acceptance together.

As a queer, neurodivergent person, I recognize the importance of self-exploration and self-acceptance for my clients, as well as seeing themselves represented in those around them. As such, providing a safe space for identity exploration while also working to diminish shame and increase self-acceptance is vital to my work. This work also includes helping clients find ways to navigate relationships and community in light of their identities.
