Princesses vs. Superheroes – Navigating Gener Expectations in Early Childhood
November 6, 2013 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$20Have you ever walked down the toy aisle of your local store and noticed the divide? Pink aisles of Barbies and princesses; blue aisles of cars and superheroes. Now more than ever we are bombarded by images, products and media that define gender expectations for our children before they are given an opportunity to define themselves. Come join us for an enlivening, interactive and informative workshop on the good, the bad and the REAL about gender stereotypes – what can we do and how can we talk about it in our own homes.
