Kyan Chang

Community Education Facilitator

Pronouns: she/her/hers

Throughout my life, I’ve had many strong, powerful women help me through struggles I’ve faced as a girl – whether it’s my mom, a teacher, or a relative. This ignited my passion for supporting girls’ mental health and helping them build the confidence to face life’s challenges. Every girl deserves a space where she feels heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to create that space through advocacy, education, and connection so girls can overcome obstacles, embrace who they are, and live life to the fullest. I’m beyond excited to work with the Institute of Girls’ Development to fulfill this goal.

Other experiences:  As a Church Youth Group Leader, I’ve been working with kids for 2+ years. Working with these kind-hearted, amazing children encouraged my advocacy for mental health and fostering unity of all demographics within my community.

Education: Arcadia High School Student

Mission: I strive to create an environment where girls feel safe, seen, and celebrated through all their hardships, achievements, and milestones.
