Meaningful connections make a difference! I’m glad you’re here. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for the Institute’s Child and Adolescent Specialty Program (CASP), I am dedicated to serving children and teens to live a life that is more meaningful, confident, and connected.
Working with me will mean having someone dedicated to supporting areas of life that have been difficult, stuck, and hard to change. Sometimes it may be assessing new behaviors or dynamics that have become confusing and surprising. In therapy, I believe listening to things spoken and unspoken has a powerful way of connecting us to untapped potential for kids and teens.
As we have navigated new complexities in recent years, including a global pandemic and ever shifting dynamics of social/political contexts, we have seen an increase in anxiety. I treat anxiety and other presentations (depression, ADHD, neurodivergence, grief/loss) from an attachment and developmental perspective. These approaches mean exploring how you relate to yourself and others, changing perspective and working through core feelings undermining your life.
I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic approaches and a toolbox of somatic grounding and psychoeducation tools. Through these, we can see how feelings begin in our brains and impact our bodies and begin to manage dysregulation and increase self-control and confidence.
Therapy is an investment (time, emotions, thoughts, and money) that can lead to more balanced, brighter futures for individuals, families, and communities by cultivating a deeper sense of identity, confidence, and purpose! Let’s get started!
