Licensed (or License Eligible) Mental Health Professional to join our practice team

The Institute for Girls’ Development promotes excellence in psychotherapeutic services and programs for girls and their families. Our asset-based model of comprehensive services and programs is based on current research on girls’ and women’s development and effective psychotherapeutic interventions. We pride ourselves in providing high quality individual, parent, family and group counseling. We collaborate as a private practice team.

Specialty areas: We are currently looking for licensed therapists with one or more of the following areas of expertise in working with children, teens and families: Mindfulness-based treatment; Dialectical Behavior Therapy & other emotional regulation modalities; eating disorders treatment; psychological/cognitive assessment; social skills competency training.

Minimum requirements: M.A. in Counseling or Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred from an APA accredited school). Candidates must have a background in working with children, adolescents, families, and groups; a passion for working with girls, young women and their families; and motivation for practice building and professional development activities. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Bilingual/bi-cultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

Full Time OR Part Time to Full Time: The ideal candidate will be available to start at the Institute at a minimum of 20 hours per week (which includes clinical hours, consultation, orientation, practice development) and work towards a full time or 3/4 time practice. Consultation and Training: Clinicians meet together regularly for case consultation, and collaboration. Because of our unique model of services and programs, clinicians receive ongoing quality training.
